Photo Assistant Opportunity - December 2021
Do you love photography and have an interest in sports and entertainment? Are you a recent college graduate who has an interest in content creation? We would love to chat and have you join our team as a photo assistant in the New York area for a hybrid, in-person and work-from-home role. No previous professional experience required but fluency in photography and an interest in visual media, marketing, sports, entertainment and technology is desirable. Loving dogs is a strong plus too!
As fellow creatives, we understand that creatives want to create! This position will afford you plenty of time to freelance or work on your own projects. Beyond your core responsibilities, you will have an opportunity to work and grow (and hopefully shoot!) with a photo team that is part of some of the biggest sporting and entertainment events in the world!
Responsibilities
Assist in working with photo archives, including editing, tagging, cataloging, and scanning.
Collaborate with clients to ensure proper photographic coverage of activations and events.
Coordinate delivery of images for clients, partners and project stakeholders.
Work with photographers at community events, portrait shoots and marketing activations.
Assist in photo shoot production and operations.
Qualifications
Associates or Bachelor's Degree in Photography, Photojournalism or a strong interest in photography.
Demonstrated experience with photography and editing/post-processing.
Experience with Photo Mechanic, Photoshop, Lightroom and/or Capture One.
Experience with digital file management, organization and metadata tagging.
Familiarity with strobe lighting.
Ability to work a flexible schedule including evenings, weekends, holidays.
Ability to travel to various projects in the New York/ New Jersey area.
Compensation
Compensation is hourly, based on experience and starting at $25 per hour
Additional project-based, bonus compensation available based on skill set
Stipend for home-office setup
